Central Region Farmers' Trust – Conference And Dinner
27th November 2014

Each year the Central Region Farmers Trust hosts their Annual Conference and Dinner, which offers the chance to hear from a Nuffield Scholar about their study subject and findings from their travels. Last year’s Central Region Farmers' Trust Annual Conference and Dinner was held on Thursday 14 November 2013 at the Sudbury House Hotel in Faringdon. Twenty five guests enjoyed an excellent dinner and heard from the two Nuffield Scholars who were supported by the Trust in 2013 – Jake Freestone who studied ‘20 by 20 Fact or Fiction’ and Tanya Robbin’s who studied ‘Innovative Women in Today’s Agriculture’. Both scholars have travelled widely during their studies, and sharing their experiences and new found knowledge proved interesting and inspirational to all the Conference attendees.

The Trust's support for Nuffield Scholars from the region covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire goes a long way to meet its objectives for ‘promoting improvement in agriculture and horticulture for the benefit of the public and to advance education. The 2014 Conference and Dinner will feature Jake Freestone and Tanya Robbins giving a brief resume of their final reports and will also introduce our two current scholars Chris Padfield and Patrick Hook who will outline their proposed studies

If you would like to join us for the conference or know of any young person who might also be interested please contact the Trust’s Administrator:
